Spring into Style with IKEA

For this project, I was tasked with

Designed IKEA's Spring Refresh Campaign, including an Instagram post, social media content, and a responsive landing page to engage customers during the peak furniture-buying season.

THE GOAL is to
  • Encourage engagement with IKEA's Spring Refresh Campaign on social media.
  • Increase traffic to the IKEA landing page from Instagram users.
  • Provide inspiration for consumers looking to refresh their homes with IKEA's minimalist and affordable furniture.

Solution

Designed a responsive webpage and social media campaign for IKEA’s spring collection, featuring a clean, modern layout and bright visuals that evoke a fresh spring aesthetic. Optimized for desktop and mobile, the design highlights key products, simplifying browsing and shopping. Paired with the social media campaign, it drives engagement, aligns with IKEA’s branding, and promotes the seasonal collection effectively.

  • Spring and summer are peak moving periods, with May seeing increased demand for furniture and home decor.
  • Minimalism remains a top trend in 2024, aligning with IKEA’s product offerings.
  • Instagram is a key platform where users discover new home decor ideas and products.
  • Consumers prefer easy-to-assemble, affordable furniture and engage with inspirational visuals.

To inform the campaign, I conducted market research to identify seasonal trends and customer preferences, focusing on simplicity a key value for IKEA. I also gathered insights from customer feedback to understand which design elements resonated most with their audience. This helped me define the campaign’s core themes, including natural textures and minimalist aesthetics.

Creating Instagram Posts and Wireframes

I designed Instagram posts that embraced IKEA’s minimalist and functional aesthetic, incorporating soft colors and clean lighting to reflect the freshness of spring. The layouts emphasized simplicity and practicality, showcasing seasonal products in an engaging and informative way. These posts guided users to a dedicated webpage about the featured products and campaign, creating a seamless journey from social media to the website. I translated these concepts into wireframes in Figma to ensure consistency and cohesion across digital platforms, all while staying true to IKEA’s brand identity.
